Chennai (PTI): Price of urad dal moved up while all other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrains market here on Thursday.

Urad dal moved up by Rs.50 per quintal to Rs.3,750 against the previous rate of Rs.3,700.

Thoor dal, moong dal, gram dal, sugar, wheat, maida and sooji remained unchanged.

Following are Thursday’s rates (per quintal): Thoor dal Rs 4,250, urad dal Rs.3,750, moong dal Rs.3,600, gram dal Rs 2,700, sugar Rs.1,520, wheat Rs.1,450, maida (90 kgs) Rs.1,400 and sooji (90 kgs) Rs.1,500.
